What do you do when cars park too close to your vehicle?

I know what you mean. My wife and I are disabled and have to open the doors all the way to get in or out. There alot of cars with paint damage for parking too close. I hate to do it but I have no choice.

I have some cards that a buddy of mine had printed up years ago. We all use them. It reads thusly.

And I do sign it; every time. With my real name. I've even put one on a police car. What are they going to do; arrest me?

I get a bit upset, but can usually see why.

Usually they're crowded on the other side or some such.

I always try to park away from other cars, and go for an end space, with another car on only one side. In which case I park as away from it as I can.

It saves door dings too.

There are malls now with special parking spaces for MOMS with young children......they are wider! I also think you should be able to park in a "handicapped" space......lol, don't you?
After all, it's quite a handicap trying to manage children in a mall parking lot........
There isn't too much you can do, unless you post a sign on the side window saying, "MY YOUNG KIDS MIGHTACCIDENTALLY HIT YOUR CAR IF YOU PARK TOO CLOSE".........it might be worth a try? lol

I sympathize with your problem, but I suggest that you park further away from the front door to the place you are going, and avoid the close in spots. Why do you have to take the car seat with you? Is it one of huge ones that does all? Maybe you should get a small one to take and put in shopping carts. They are easier to maneuver around.

People every where are in a hurry and get to be inconsiderate of everyone else. It is just the way things are, #@&*^% it.

If this is a problem, I would park somewhere that no one will park next to, for example, you could park next to a traffic island, next to a handicapped space, next to fire lane, etc.

Another option is to pull out of the parking space, do what you need to with the carseat while blocking the traffic lane (of the parking lot, not a through street) and then resume driving.

Nothing really because people will always do this but try parking further away and then less people will do this..

sometimes i key them. other times i just hit my door against thiers when getting in. it depends on how stressed out i am at the time
