What do you think about raised driving age?

I'm talking about that teens can't drive w/o anyone over 25 in the car until they are 18 (instead of the previous 16). How do you feel about that?

I think its a bad idea. Just think of it if you have to wait till your 18 your gonna feel like you missed out on your teen years havin fun. So your gonna do a bunch of really stupied stuff to make up for the time you missed.

BRAVO! Children are out of control these days and 16 is way too young. Most of them are not ready to be alone to drive on there own. They are too excited and just want to show all of there friends.

It definitely needs to become a law and I am not sure why our government has waited this long in order to do it. Way too many teens are getting into car accidents these days. They do not deserve their license AT ALL!

Its bunk. Why blame anyone for societies failures. They should take it on the chin like dot gov always tells us to do.

I think that is unnecessary.

Of course it probably would result in a few saved lives, but at the expense of many thousands of teen drivers each year. The safety-nazis always say "If this law saves just ONE life..." and everybody nods in agreement because it sounds "right".

But in reality, there IS a point where the cost of implementing and enforcing and obeying such laws is not worth the "savings". The problem is, nobody knows where that point is, but I'm pretty sure it's not just "ONE" life (or even two or three)

I _do_ think the restrictions on carrying passengers for the first 6-12 months is a worthwhile idea, but that's more from the perspective that passengers distract new drivers, and often provide the motivation for new drivers to show-off.

that would be stupid. 16 year olds need to get to work and school. its hard to do if you have to wait for someone to come with you.

I can understand that this is a safety concern, but many 16 and 17- year olds need to be able to drive to work and school. I don't think they should change it.
