It is designed to keep our airlines safe for those actually in the air and on the ground ... they will need to be this strict until we can find another way. |

One does not want another 9/11 so it is best to be safe than sorry. As to how safe the airports are now subsequent to these regulations is another thing. One thaing is certain - everyone has to be more patient and more cautious. |

Sad but true. |

They're a sign of the times. Get used to them. The airline regulations will be adjusted alittle bit here & there- but by & large, they're here to stay. The "war on terrorism" is now a permanent part of our lives. |

I understand about the liquids, though perhaps the better way will wind up being that you must drink and swallow whatever liquid you bring through security -- not unlike how it's now done at some of the sights in D.C. Books, computers etc ARE still allowed, just not liquids. |

No i dont think they are being too strict... in fact instead of reacting to new threats they need to start anticipating all possiblilities...
i think they should ban all carryon and limit the size of womens purses... they should limit what you bring on the plane to your ticket and wallet/purse.... then provide anything you might need on the plane itself...
Not only would it help in screening and scanning b4 one gets on a plane but it would speed up the actual loading cause you dont have 100 people in the isle messing with the overhead compartment... then they would actually have room for blankets pillows for everybody |

I'll gladly give up taking liquids on planes if that's the price I have to pay not to get blown up by extremist terrorists. |

They have gone overboard.
It is better to be safe than sorry.
They could relax the restrictions so that Books, newspapers, business documents could be brought on board. Keeping to the clear plastic bag idea and ofcourse X-Raying them, etc. |

Can anything be considered too strict if it's going to prevent another 9/11??? Not to me. |

No ,not if it prevents a a high jacking. But I do feel that any one dead set on terrorist acts will do them no matter what lengths we go to prevent them. |

My opinion? Not really! Remember what happened on the faithful day of 9/11 and just yesterday there was an airplane bomb plot in a flight from England to New York. |

totally changes my plans for next week, I will have to check everything |

What does every one think about the new airline regulations?
Do you think they are being too strict?
I think they are necessary since we are fighting WWIII. On the other hand, I will drive. |
