What foot am i meant to break with?

My one instructor told me only to break with the right foot but if im at a junction waiting to go, don't i have to have my right foot on the accelerator and the left on the break ready to go? HELP!

right, Im still confused. Im at a junction, i'm coming to a stop, my left foot is on the clutch, my right on the brake, go into first gear. Ive stopped, how do i go again, where are my feet meant to be? Before i was getting the bite just with my right foot on the accelorator and then putting my left on the break to make sure i don't roll forward, what am i doing wrong?

No, the reason you BRAKE with your right foot is that you will NEVER use the brake and accelerator at the same time. Using the right foot to do both means that you can't get it wrong!

Your right foot is for the brake and the gas, if you are at a junction and need to stop the car rolling use the hand brake.

You always use your right foot on the footbrake. Left foot just for clutch, right for brake and accelerator.

You only use the footbrake until you are at a standstill then you use the handbrake.

You use the right foot to brake and accellerate. But, you never do it both at the same time.

Left foot - Clutch Only.

Right Foot - Moves, from brake to accellerator

Whe you accellerate, you take your foot off the brake.

you brake with the right foot. if you have your left foot on the brake and your right on the accelerator, how are you pressing the clutch?

when you pull away you simply move your right foot to the accelator from the brake pedal. if you are facing uphill you should use the handbrake rather than the foot brake anyway

I can't see your problem. As everyone, well most, have said, brake and accelerate with your RIGHT foot., Don't forget, you also have a HANDBRAKE, which I always use when stationary.

left foot. always, unless your learning to race, but i dont think thats your case, it can be kind of a hard habit to brake (lol) but your transmission will thank you.
