What happens if i don't go to a court date for a speeding ticket?

I'd go if at ALL possible. Otherwise the court could issue a warrant for your arrest...also your fine could be increased. That could all be very inconvenient. If you can't make it, and can't get anyone on the phone, write a letter - but make sure it arrives before your court date.

you have to go down there and reschedule, just pay the ticket because you were more than likely wrong and don't want to admit it and are just hopping the officer dose not show up so you can get out of it.

You don't have to go to court for a speeding ticket unless you are contesting it. If you just want to pay it you can send in your payment or go down to one of the places listed on the back of your ticket to pay it. If you don't pay it on time they will send you a letter in the mail saying you have X amount of time to pay it before they issue a warrant for your arrest (I think it's a few weeks, depending on what state the ticket was issued).

Go down to the court or clerks office to try to reschedule the court date.... if you don't show it will be considered failure to appear and they will issue a bench warrant for you.

Best thing to do is reschedule(in person) or show up at the current date that it is set for.

You have to pay the ticket by the court date unless you were going ridiculously fast, in which case, you have no choice but to go or they put a warrant out for you.

then u would have to pay in full by the court date. if u dont have the money, then u might have to either serve jail time or pay another fine. just get the money or cancel whatever u have on that date.

In most states you still have 10 working days after the actual court date for appearence. After that they will issue a warrant for your arrest. GL

You wld need to settle d ticket first b4 d stipulated time, also try to arrange a schedule either call up ur sent a letter b4 they sent out warrant letter

If you were scheduled to go in to see a judge or magistrate for court and you did not then they will put out a failure to appear warrant for your arrest. But if you just want to pay the ticket then you can go to your local pd or court house and pay the ticket therefore it will safe you the embarrassment of getting arrested in public.
