without a license but i have my learners permit and im not with an adult 21 or older???i live in Florida but heres my situation= i am a very good driver and i have been doing this only to get to and from school because now i have trasferred to a private catholic school and there is no public bus or anything and my mom works and everyone else and the school is about 15 miles away so walking is out of the question so really i have no other transportation to get to school..i am going to this school to get my grades up and have a better life becuase i would always get in trouble in my other school and i had a 1.4 gpa but now i have a 2.5 and my attitude is changing and i am becoming a good kid again..i am now 16 so in Florida you can legally drive at age 16 but i havent had my permit for one year so i cant get my license until next summer i doubt i will ever get pulled ove but i know that things happen..so can anyone help me with this situation please??

Thanks Julvrag it seems that you are right!! and everyone else is just telling me the rules when i already know whats going to happen to me but i kno people who have gotten caught with their permit driving alone and didnt get any of that they just had to write an essay to the judge saying why they shouldnt be driving without a license so its as simple as that..no fine nothing..and for the reason i have i would be excused but i am going to talk to the dmv and take it to court if i have to but i will be driving LEGALLY soon

Check with your local DMV, there could be something that would allow you to get the full license sooner due to your situation. Never hurts to look into it. but in the mean time see if there is anyone else at your school you could catch a ride with, the risk otherwise could out weight the benefits. You could lose the car, as well as your chance to get your license next year, or even worse you could be involved in an accident and hurt or kill someone, then you will be charged a lot harsher. |

You are risking a lot. If you are caught or get in an accident, you woudn't be able to get your license until at least age 18, maybe longer. Without a license, you have no business driving alone. I don't care what your excuse is. You put all other drivers at risk |

I wouldnt recommend drive without a license. If you ever got pulled over because of a violation or sometimes they randomly pull people over (they do whatever they please), you can get your learner's permit taken away and have to retake the test over in a year. I wouldnt risk it. |

in iowa, if you get pulled over with no liscense, they depends on why they pulled you over they may extend the period until you get your liscense from 6 months to a year |

Check with your local department of motor vehicles (DMV) to see if there is any provision in the law to allow you to drive just to and from school. If there is, then make sure you follow all the rules and don't abuse the privilege! |

First up your not insured.
No matter how good a driver you think you are you cant be sure some other idiot wont run into you.
Thats the end of it. You get sued and will be paying it off for the rest of your life.

You ask a question and then add on to it that you already know the rules. Sounds like you don't really want to hear the answer, you want to hear what's favorable to you. But reality is a whole 'nother thing.
Best way to find out for yourself is to go ahead and risk it. Sure, others get away with it all the time. You might, too. But maybe not. Is it worth the risk for you?
