& could they possibly prevent you from getting your license or take away your permit if you have one? Or do they just give you a fine to pay? When I got the ticket, the cop said that I would get a letter in the mail, so what does that usually mean?

When that happens it usually means either 1 of 2 thing:
1. That you will get a slap on the wrist fine and a couple of demerit point, or.
2. You will get a really big fine and lose your license.
It really depends on if you have a previous record for anything, if you do then (depending on how severe your previous infraction was) you have a bigger chance of losing your license, if you don't then you have a better chance of receiving a smaller punishment. |

you get fined. if you're on a national expressway, THEN you're in big trouble. worst that can happen to you (worst case, considering multiple offenses) is you get detained along with your license. and possibly impounding of vehicle. |

yes, they will send you the letter,saying where to send your check, you have to send the check in that address, or i am not sure if you have to go there in person. |
