The cab driver will want to get paid. So, when he reaches your destination, he'll wake you up and stick out his hand and point to the meter. As long as you didn't throw up in the back of his cab, he won't have any issues with you sleeping. You, asleep in the back, are less of a hassle than you, in the back, calling him bad names and singing badly.
If the snoozing passenger was too drunk to wake up, the driver could call the cops, and keep the meter running until they got there. THEY would wake the passenger up, or go through the wallet to pay the driver (usually with NO tip) and haul the drunk off.

I drove a cab many years ago, and it wasn't that unusual for a passenger to snooze. I'd see it happen at least two or three times a month. Most of the time it was bar runs, when the passenger had a little too much.
They would get in, tell me where they wanted to go and fall asleep. I'd wake them when we arrived, they'd pay, and that was it.

depends on the moral of the driver haha i can only picture 3 things happening 1. the driver wakes you up and makes you pay your normal tab. 2. the driver takes the longer route drives some circles give you a huge tab. 3. ..... something bad happeens and im pretty sure you guys know what im talking about. |

I don't know, but when i was a cab driver, we would drive you to the quarry and steal your organs to sell on the black market.
Except on Sunday. We just wake you up then. |
