What happens on your tenth DUI in Ohio?

I hope who ever it is gets the max in jail and they throw away the key. If he/she has not learned by now. He/she will never learn. He/she should be asked this question How many of their mistakes in life can they trace back to their drinking or drug use?

It took me only one time to learn about drinking. I had to go to a one day class for 8 hrs. I spent the whole day and there was only one thing that day that stopped my drinking. It was the above question. My life has changed for the better. I am able to do more and have more money with which to do more. He/she will find life gets better without the drinking/drug use.

They will take away the car, you get a driving suspension from 3 yrs to life,
pay $750-10,000 in fines,
spend 60 days to 18 months in jail,
and have house arrest from 60 days to 12 months.

It is considered a felony.

I would hope by the time you reach the tenth DUI you have spent so much time in jail, and on suspension, you are too old to see to put the key in the ignition. I would also hope, if you survive the jail sentences, that the next drunken stupor you drink yourself into results in you wrapping your car around a tree, or driving off a high bridge into a river and drowning.

The first DUI has a minimum 60 day suspension, and it can be up to 3 years. That is the administrative suspensio for the arrest, the conviction has a separate penalty of another minimum 6 months.
Second offence the suspension can be 5 years, and you may have to drive with yellow plates which advise the rest of the driving public you are a convicted drunk driver.
Third gets you minimum 30 days jail, minimum 2 years suspension, possible 10 years.
Fourth or fifth in the last 6 years, or 6th in last 20 years, suspension minimum 3 years jail, possible life in prison, I like that option almost as much as drowning in the river.

By the way, in the old Roumania, you would have been shot after the first conviction. That was the only penalty that existed, no suspension, no jail, no appeals, just the firing squad. They had no repeat DUI offenders.

I hope authorities will not let you go that far. Personally, i know a guy who had 2 within 3 years. My personal opinion, after you get your 2nd, doesnt matter within 5 years or 25, you should not be allowed to drive again.

For a tenth DUI, should also be jailed for driving without a license. The state not revoking by now would be stupid. But then, Ohio!

Tags for all vehicles this person drives should also be pulled. Jail time should be mandatory, as the person obviously doesn't care about the law or choose to use common sense.

man, i lost my license on my first one. If you already dont have your license i would recomend this motorcycle which does not require a license or insurance. hope this helps

First of all, it is IMPOSSIBLE to have 10 DUI's in any state, because after 3 or 4, you're a permanent guest of that state in one of their finer metal windowed hotels [aka life in prison]
