A repo company will come looking for it and take it away. If you are not making payments, technically, you are driving a stolen vehicle.
Just a note...you can't hide from a repo company. They WILL find your car. They have all sorts of tricks to use. Once taken, the vehicle will be sold at auction to cover the cost of the car and the towing/storage fees and whatever is left owed, you're responsible for.

if your talking about repossessed then they will just send a repo company to find the car and take it, its up to the repo people rather they even want to let you know or not, repo people basically steal back a car because if your purposely keeping a car that you need to give back then your technically stealing the car so the repo people just steal it back from you, so you might not even be told about it while they're repoing the car |

The repo man will track you down, take the car and don't even leave you a note as to were it is so you can remove personal belongings. It can be embarrassing. Turn the car in. |

They cannot legally report the car as stolen, because they don't own the car. YOU do. When you bought the car from them, you signed a loan agreement. One of the terms of this agreement was that if you defaulted on any of the terms of the agreement, they would have the right to re-take possession of the vehicle and sell it in order to recover their interest in the vehicle, if need be.
In other words, if they can't find the vehicle, there's really nothing they can do except keep searching. |
