There is urban driving, and rural driving........
Urban is within city or town limits
Rural is driving outside city or town limits, so higher speed roads, interstates, gravel roads. You would encounter different problems in both areas. For example, high traffic, more lights and intersections, pedestrians in urban areas, and in rural areas you might expect other hazards, such as animals, farm equipment, quads, snowmobiles, ditches, and gravel roads change from day to day too. Im sure you can think of more things too.
I hope that helps. |

There are RURAL and URBAN areas. So rural driving would be driving in rural areas, like the Countryside. Either that or it would mean driving on a farm(like the tractors) but I'm guessing they are sticking to roads so backroads in the countryside or such would be the best bet. |

MY definition ( RURAL DRIVING )
- pick a gravel road; preferably freshly graded so that the surface is 1/2" - 5/8" thick loose gravel on a hard packed base. Now pick any rear wheel drive car and start driving to get 'the feel' of the road surface. Steadily increase speed until you are driving 10/10 ths of the capability of the vehicle. Now; nail the throttle and go for it. Works better if the road has a few off camber curves thrown in for good measure. And if you don't hear yourself giggling uncontrollably between fits of panic you're not doing it right.
And if you have just purchased a new washer and dryer and want to test their performance do the same drive in a front wheel drive car the next time. |
