Same as with a manually driven car..........except you don't have to select the gears because an automatic does that for you so you don't have to worry about clutch control! But, of course, you know that anyway!

at a 4 way stop....the person to your right goes first (that is IF you both get there at the same time.)

I think you want to know if you should put it in P or N or leave it in D. You can leave an automatic in D and keep your foot on the brake at lights, etc.

No Different from a Manual Gear Box -- Stop it-Observe - if clear Drive on -- if it,s not clear - wait or drive on and === smash it up

At traffic lights you should come to a complete stop if the lights are red. Apply the handbrake and select neutral.

If the lights are green there is no need to stop.

At a give way junction it is usual only to use the footbrake to stop if a stop is required, keep the car in gear ready to drive straight away providing the road is clear.
