I have never in my life seen, read, heard about anyone driving stoned and crashing into another vehicle killing all inside that vehicle. If you have seen or heard anything like that? Do not just say it. Post a link to back up your answer.

It must be a rarity since there are no answers. I read somewhere that from 1985 and to today there were only 17 deaths directly caused by influence of marijuana, while drunk driving causes 40% of all deaths. I don't remember the website anymore but I think it said that they asked the transportation ministry or some similar organization, highway patrol maybe. It was a pro-cannabis website.
I never heard about it either, but I was watching a documentary called Ben: Diary of a heroin addict, and he drove after taking heroin. Apparently US seargants are complaining of Afghan soldiers and policemen coming to training while on heroin. They're taking it just like alcohol, it's unbelievable, but if it wouldn't be addictive, then at least it wouldn't be that bad. In another documentary I heard that crime rates went down in Vanuatu when people started drinking kava-kava again.
It's really silly that we're allowing ethanol, while banning mild drugs such as weed and ecstasy that could save the society. I don't think Jacqueline Saburido would be harmed if everyone smoked on a friday night, and ecstasy is actually a powerful healing drug that can help vets and rape victims with PTSD and anyone else, even if your mental health is affected over a small issue you experienced (violent relationship, fear of animals, spiders). Apparently E allows you to go deeply into those memories and with it you can cope better. It's good to see a documentary from BBC, it's called "Is alcohol worse than ecstasy?". It's on youtube. Some team of experts decided to actually look at the drugs again and re-classify them based on their actual harmfulness since most of the drugs' health and social effects were exaggerated. |
