Doesn't matter the state. Common rule, the flow through the stop sign goes counter clockwise. So always the person to your right goes first. Follow the flow of traffic at the stop. |

Completely stop and look each way, if u are the only one at the 4 way, then proceed..if there are others pulling up on adjoining roads then it goes by who got there first and then from right , progressing to left .... |

A FOUR-WAY STOP sign means that there are four stop signs at this intersection. Traffic from all four directions must stop. The first vehicle to reach the intersection should move forward first. If two vehicles reach the intersection at the same time, the driver on the left yields to the driver on the right.
Stop Sign Law: Come to a full stop, yield the right-of-way to vehicles and pedestrians in or approaching the intersection. Go when it is safe. You must come to a stop before the stop line, if there is one. If not, you must stop before entering the crosswalk. |

The proper way to stop at a four way stop sign to avoid getting a ticket and to be courteous is to:
1. Come to a complete stop before the white lines.
2. If there are any pedestrians, allow them to pass.
3. If you come to stop as the same time as someone else, the person on the right has the right-of-way meaning they get to go first.
4. If there are no pedestrians and it is your turn to go, procedd slowly checking for cross traffic. |

Long enough to determine that there are no other vehicles at the intersection. That is -stop, look left, look right, look ahead (in case of a turning vehicle) then proceed. |

Also they say stop and count to three. That is considered a compelete stop |

You need to come to a "complete" stop at any stop sign. Take as long as you want as long as you don't impede traffic. |

Complete stop. Proceed if no one else is at the intersection. Typically you don't want to interrupt trafic flow. General rule is first come, first to go. More then one vehicle at the intersection (in US), car to the right goes next. |

The rule of thumb from my dmv testing over 35 years ago is still in effect. all stop. the person to the right has the right away. so if all stoped at the same time and all are looking at each other just flag or wave them to go. the car on the right of you.
or you can just be courteous and wave them to go one at a time. |

Make a full stop, if someone is comeing to the intersection the same time as you do from the street to the right of you and you both get there at the same time then they have the right of way |
