What kind of charge will I get for not wearing my seat belt? and will any points go on my license?

I was driving in a sub division and had yet to put on my seat belt until I had got to the stop sign to pull out onto the main road. About a mile down the road the officer pulled me over and gave me a ticket. Does this go on my record like a misdemeanor or anything? and how many if any points go on my license?

it is not a misdemeanor or any charge like that.
no points go on your license, it is considered a nonmoving violation when you arent wearing your belt.

What country are you in?, in the UK you get 3 penalty points on your licence as well as a fixed penalty fine

It is considered a non moving violation and you will not receive any points and your insurance will not increase...
