the depth of the thread was within a safe depth the tire did not go flat but the thread separated and at a diagonal lost all the thread yet the tire was still inflated. How can this not be a manufacture defect?

it depends on what kind and size tire and what vehicle it is on and what the application is/was and if it exceeded manufacturers recomendations for speed and load capacities, inflation pressure, and if it was a drive wheel or if it was on the front axle as a steering wheel, and if there was proper alignment of the vehicle. It also depends on how many miles you've put on the tire and the conditions of use. If you provide someone with these details and they do a further inspection an authorized tire retailer should be able to diagnose the problem. Unless your just trying to get a freebie, take it to the competitior for inspection and be prepared to give him all the information above. |

You don't need to be an expert for this, you just need to look at the tire and this would be a manufacturers defect it sounds like you are dealing with someone that will not honor your warranty. |
