First check the lamp (bulb) on the other side to see if it has "blown", if so, problem solved, if not check the wiring to see if it has broken, or snapped off the terminal
If the lamp is OK and the wiring is in good order, check if any other light, such as rear tail light is working. If not it could be a fuse that has gone, however, may cars use the same fuse for both side lights.
If these appear Ok, and the lamp is not blown, and the wiring is OK, it might be worth going to an auto electrician to get them to check the wiring out, unless you have access to a test lamp and know how to use one. |

The bulb in the side light is probably blown,you need to find the nearest auto shop and buy a bulb , you may want to get a bulb and fuse kit just in case it happens to other bulbs or fuses. |

First check the rear lights. If only one rear sidelight works (usually the opposite side) it's a fuse. If both rear sidelights are on it's most likely the bulb - if not the wire's fallen off. |

You might want to look for one of two things. If one side light is working then you want to ensure that the light bulb on the passengers side is properly working. If it isn't then it is probably a burnt bub. Secondly make sure that you have a light bulb installed. |

If it's front OR rear could be a blown bulb.
If it's front AND rear (on same side) likely to be a fuse. |

Side lights or head lights.. take your car to Halfords or a car accessories shop & garage. Next ask an assistant if they know what type of allergen head light bulbs are used for your car make, lead them outside and show them the failed light, tell them you don't know how to replace bulbs, act naive towards the situation, They'll jump to your assistance, they'll either show you what to do or they'll do it for you, if they just tell you how, make sure you replace the bulb at the shop, that way if its not your bulb that's gone and the fault is something else at least you'll be in the right place to ask for advice, P.S. Allergen bulbs are'nt expensive one bulb should be under £5.00, the bulb change takes about 5 minutes or less depending on accessibility to the bulb area.. Good luck.. |
