I live in Ontario so most the time the weather is good but in the winter it can be tough driving. So I am looking to find out what the best purchase would be.

if you only drive on streets/roads, then the awd would be better. You can get a lot of cars in awd now. |

Go with the AWD and make sure that the vehicle has traction control because it keeps you moving without slipping wheels, while stability control keeps you moving in the direction you intended the vehicle to go. |

If you are looking for better fuel efficiency, a 4wd may be a good option.
If you are looking for performance and handling AWD would be a good option.
I live in a climate that gets snow and ice only about 3 months of the year. And then it isn't really too heavy, a 4wd serves me just fine going up hill and helping stranded motorists. Being able to disingage the 4wd doesn't cost me any extra fuel when the weather is nice. |
