What would be better to plow snow, a tractor or a truck with a plow?

Tractor snow plows have been known to be the most reliable. The reason why they are better in comparison to truck plows is because of their massive strength. When dealing with large snow fall you need to have a vehicle that can not only clear the road ways but also dig beneath the chunks of ice just in case there are cars stuck in snow. The purpose of a tractor is to remove the snow and ice from the road ways but in greater strengths than that of a truck plow. The truck plow just moves through side streets and road ways clearing the area. But the tractor actually gets the bulk of the snow keeping it from refreezing in spots. Its better in terms of strength and effectiveness. Also another advantage is that of the tractors wheels. The wheels on a tractor have a non skid ability which can also break ice on road ways cutting down on car skids and accidents.

It depends on if you have any other use for a tractor. A tractor is an expensive snow plow. I have both and prefer the tractor most times. It gets cold, but you don't have to worry about defrosters or being able to see exactly where the plow is and you can get into tighter places.

That depends on what you are doing.
Just plowing your driveway, a tractor would work fine if that is all you need.
The truck could be used for a driver and four wheeling as well as plowing.
