I can't think of a reason to keep it at 16, but I can't think of a valid reason to raise it either. I feel that the requirements to obtain a driver's license need to be amended so that students seeking their licenses are better trained. If a 16 year old goes through the training and earns their license, I say let 'em drive. |

The only reason would be because parents don't have the time to drive them everywhere they want to go. But really, at 16 there's a lot of teens that shouldn't be driving. |

If they raise it more illegal drivers will be on the road with no insurance. Parents are responsible for the actions of there kids. The real problem is not age its attitude .Safety needs to be taught in school and in forced by parents. . Dealt with 40 year Old that were less mature than my 16 year Old btw 16 year old girls are safer drivers |

Can't think of any. 16 year olds are dangerous and don't need to drive to school.
P.S. I would say 10% of kids that age are safe drivers, so, sorry the good ones should be punished, but "that's life" |

so teens can get a job, learn to maintain and take care of a vehicle before being on their own, run errands for parents, and to some of the other posters you shouldn't punish all 16 year olds because of the actions of a few |

people might say that you should get your license at 18 because your more mature and that you know its not right to drink and drive well why would a sixteen yearold do that in the first place they wont be able to because how the going buy the alcohol 18 or older so they should still drive at that age and its better from them because you get more years experinces at 16 then 18 |
