Whats so bad about driving a truck that is all jacked up big tires and everything.?

For one (major) thing, it's not safe, for you or for us. The bumpers are usually about the level of my sedan's windows, instead of level with the door guard beams, so hitting my car would surely cause much worse injuries and damage. The handling and braking will be affected for the worse, and the driver's visibility will be worse, too.

There's also the question of WHY you feel the need for such a vehicle?

They are not safe, especially for other motorists or pedestrians. Visibility is limited. Also, the bumpers on such vehicles are just about rear-window height on a regular car. This could (and often does) cause much more serious damage and injury as a regular vehicle.

They may look "cool" but to me, safety trumps coolness every time.

They ARE NOT dangerous, as long as the installed lift-kit KEEPS the vehicles FACTORY geometry and steering angles exactly the same.
The vehicles center of gravity is UNCHANGED, as long as those correctons are made.

If the lift-kit keeps all angles the same, the vehicle IS NOT at a higher roll-over risk, CANT have steering or suspension problems.

But if someone just keep putting lift blocks on the vehicle, THEN
the vehicle becomes VERY top heavy and unbalanced.

The question isnt WHY someone would want to drive such a big truck.

I could turn around and ask YOU the same kind of question?
"why would you want to drive something so unsafe and boring everyday?"

Just because you DONT like off-road trucks GIVES YOU NO RIGHT to launch a personal attack on them.

Just because a few people DONT install lift-kits corrects DOESN'T mean every jacked up truck out there is dangerous!

I've driven some very large trucks and they handle MUCH better than any car i've driven, traction is rediculously good, and your view is a THOUSAND times better than in a car.

What's NOT SAFE is the people driving normal cars.....since it's the average citizens with average cars that are involved in MORE accidents every year.

I dont think i've EVER seen a large jacked up truck involved in an accident....and if I did....SO WHAT?

What is that like 1 jacked up truck wrecks everyday compared to 10,000 NORMAL cars everyday?

When you r big, do you scare something smaller. of course not. That's y trucker drive recklessly. Truck driver position should be at the same level as normal car driver, with no windshield.

You use up more of the earth's gas supply when you jack your truck up or mess with the engine. You damage the earth's surface with your showing out trying to prove how tough you truck is.The exhaust on your engine puts out carbon monohyd that's slowly poisoning all of us EVERY TIME you drive it and leaves a HUGE carbon foot print on the earth. For the money you spend on you truck you could provide over 10,000 children in a underdeveloped country food and clean water for a year! Nothing is bad about it other than mpg i got a 2001 dodge ram 2500 5.9 l6(diesel) with my current mods i still get about 18-20mpg average. I dont baby my truck either in the summer time it sees mud and dirt almost every weekend. I dont know why people dont like them but i dont care if they do or not. My truck is more stable since i added my rim because it sticks out past my truck so its safer than before.

It's not, if you're safe. I LOVE big trucks! Although sometimes the people driving them aren't very considerate. So just make sure that just because you have a big truck you rule the rule, and pay attention to all the little cars... & all the little cars need to pay attention to the big trucks.
