One of the most importance tenets of self-defense is that when attacked - you must attack back!
You need to make your attacker worry about their own safety, instead of how they're going to hurt you. In an extreme situation, you may have to be vicious.
Attack your assailant's weaker points, like their eyes, groin or throat.
Do not hesitate, since it will only give your attacker more time to formulate their own attack.
Overwhelm your assailant, trying to momentarily disable them, so you can escape!

Being attacked can be a horrible thing, and it is important to know the options. It is important especially for women to know that you need to have a plan if you are attacked. The first thing to know is that if you are attacked in a parking lot, make sure to scream. Screaming is a good idea because if there are others around they will be alerted to the situation and they will likely come to your rescue and they can help fight off the attacker in addition to calling the police. Secondly if attacked try kicking. One thing that is true is that women have a great amount of strength in their legs. So if you are attacked you should try to kick if you can and that may injure the attacker. Now these are just a couple of options if you are attacked.
Here are a few precautions you can take to decrease the chances of being attacked.
-If you can try to travel in packs. When traveling alone you are more of a target especially in parking lots. Attackers do not usually attack a group in numbers, usually the person is by themselves.
-If you can carry pepper spray or a small concealed and legal weapon. This can be helpful because you may injure the attacker.
-Also if you can take self defense classes. Taking classes may help because it gives you confidence and it can help you to know how to get out of some situations and use your body to your advantage. |
