Here's the trick. Focus far away from the car. Look ahead, not right in front of the hood. I learned this when I first started driving and my dad was wondering why I was going back and forth on the road. He told me to look out further away.

Hold it with both hands. Feet and such aren't appropriate contrary to what you may see on the road.

Keep both hands on the wheel. While driving down the road look out toward the horizon of the road. Many driver tend to only focus 10-12 feet ahead which is very dangerous and causes drivers to over steer. You will find that if you focus further down the road it is easier to keep centered in your lane. Stay alert, keep right, look ahead. See and avoid road hazards before it is too late to brake and or correct your line of travel.

vehicals usually pull to the left (im in Australia & drive on the left hand side of the road)..the reason is that roads have a camber to allow water to run of to the side...

so you drive with some extra weight on the right of the steering wheel to hold the car in a straight line...

in the USA it would be the opposite...

On a straight road, the wheels should stay pointed
ahead. Unless the car needs wheel alignment.
Keep both hands on the wheel when driving, the new recommended position is 3 and 9 o'clock.
An alternate position is 4 and 8 o'clock.
Some narrow roads may have a slope to the curb.
This is to allow drainage. So correct as needed.
