I have been driving for years and cant answer this question for someone on their L's,

I would only use my signal when I was leaving the circle. The signal is so others know what direction my car is about to take, so even if it isn't law, it doesn't hurt to over-signal my intentions, and besides it doesn't cost that much either. |

- Find the appropriate lane (normally left)
- As you pass the preceeding turning, put your left indicator on.
Miniroundabout (UK)
- Theoretically as for a roundabout, but generally people just signal their overall intention (so no indicator) |

signal right after you have passed the exit before the one you want and

Dear ---,
No vehicle has any indicator to show that it has to go straight ahead. To go Straight through a round about, no turning indicator from a vehicle is understood by others that the vehicle will go straight ahead. It someone feel that other drivers are confused, it is simply because of ones erratic/zigzag driving. Slow down before the round about, drive steady on your lane.
I have seen a few drivers raising their hands with a posture like "Hail Hitler". That may not work all the time.
