When someone tries to pass me on the right on the highway and cut me off, what do I do ?

this guy tried to pass me doing 80mph on the freeway. I was in the fast lane passing cars which is what you do in the fast lane. No other motorists were having a problem with my driving. Then this car bullets around me on the right to cut me off from the car in front of him and jump back into the fast lane. That can easily get someone killed. I hope that person reads this because when someone he loves dies because of wreckless driving like that,...well,...I'll bet he never gets another ticket !

Keep up with the flow of traffic as much as you can so as not to disrupt everyone else's flow. Not much else you can do. Curse under your breath if you like.

Drive defensively

1. you saw the guy coming up beside you which means you anticipated the move

2. you saw him moving over to cut you off which means hes a dk

You can speed up to block him in or jump in front of him honk your horn and show him the finger or chase him down and tailgate him ... all these things can end in a bad accident and possibly death.

Driving defensively means 1. you anticipate their move (including pedestrians) 2. take the most evasive action you can i.e. move over, slow down, stop and keep 2 hands on the wheel with your wits about you

Since youre still alive i expect you did the right thing ... dont lose it ... theres lots of idiots on the road and lifes just to short to worry about idiots

let him go mickey!! just let him go.. its not worth it. if that person was passing you and your in the left lane passing other cars then he was in a bigger rush to get home than you. it happens to me everyday and i'm the one usally passing but when i see someone that in a bigger rush.. i let him go...the smokeys will get his dumb butt.

there is no such thing as a fast lane. its a passing lane and if you are not passing anyone move to your right lanes. Dont worry about other drivers just follow the rules yourself.

Keep driving straight ahead and don't brake. Never brake while being overtaken - unless there is a tree in front of you.
