When was the last you almost hit another car when driving?

I was about to make a left turn at a green light. There was no on-coming traffic, no pedestrians in the crosswalk to my left, and the light was green. I began my turn, when suddenly from the oncoming curb, a man pulled out very quickly from his parking spot while still checking his left shoulder. He was parked immediately behind the crosswalk, and he accelerated very quickly from his parking spot. I honked my horn to get his attention, hit my brake stopping hard and he did the same.........it was close.....I don't know how long he had been sitting in his vehicle parked, but I didn't see anyone getting into that vehicle at all. It did surprise me. I've never had that happen before. It taught me to check even parked cars when making a left turn.........ya live and ya learn.....hopefully without getting hurt.......or doing harm to anyone else.

2 yrs ago. However, some idiot hit me last year and totaled my car.

I was giving a friend a driving lesson and although we were already committed to going past a parked car, a lorry came the other way and barged past. There was no time to brake or anything (and no we didn't have duel controls). We clipped wing mirrors.

It was about three years ago. My brakes locked and I skidded up behind this car at the lights and ended about 1cm away from his bumper. I even had my eyes closed and was braced for impact!!

today in work i was doing a rolling block on the motorways because of an accident and some young lad came speeding and nearly rear ended me

to-day , came out of my drive ,didnt concentrate and didnt look left,almost hit a people carrier full of people , wont make that mistake again
