YES because the kids can reach the handles. AND my windows are locked too, who knows what they'll throw out of the window. One time, it was a shoe... |

My car locks the doors automatically the moment I put it into gear. I also lock the doors while I pump gas and any time the car will be left unattended, including my workplace (because its located near a rough area of the city). |

My car has 'anti jacking' locks, which lock automatically when I drive away. (ooh, get her!!)
Also, when I fill my car up at the petrol station I lock the doors as I walk to the counter to pay for my fuel. Dumb ? well actually, no. Stealing stuff from cars on petrol station forecourts is quite popular in London. |

Yes...well they lock when I move like most vehicles.
It's a safety thing. If the doors are locked and you get hit/ or hit something, it makes it less likely for them to open. Open doors don't help support the vehicles frame in a crash. That means if the doors open the car may have an unplanned crumple zone, (Like the pasenger area). Which as you may guess would be bad. |
