She does not need to be driving anymore... just a matter of time before she gets into an accident and gets hurt or hurts someone else. |

The problem may be more serious than just parking. If she is having trouble judging distances, it may no longer be safe for her (and for others) to continue driving. My grandfather convinced us all he was still OK to drive, right up until the day he ran into the back of a dump truck. Fortunately, he was OK, but his car was totaled. It's hard for older folks to give up there independence, but it may also be time for your grandmother to let someone else do the driving. Good luck. |

They have small cameras that you can attach to the front or backs of a vehicle that will show you (from within the vehicle via a monitor) how close you are to hitting walls, other vehicles, etc. If a tennis ball didn't work (why didn't it?) then I don't know what else to say...maybe she should stop driving? |

heavy , heavy medication. or put the car on blocks with no tires and tell her she just got back from where ever she wanted to go and the motor will be warm for proof. |

There's metal plate things that you can buy at auto zone that go on the floor. When you drive up on them, it kinda feels like you are trying to get in right at the car wash. If you're not going fast, when you hit the plate it automatically stops the car...
I don't believe they will work if you are going 70 mph though...lol!
My dad has them... I think cuz he shut the garage door on the trunk before.... this way he knows his a-end isn't hanging out....:) |

Hang a soccer ball painted florescent pink, basketball, beachball, just keep getting bigger balls until you have balls big enough for her to see, you can't have balls too big in a situation like this, even 2 balls can't hurt, unless your grandma hits them really hard, but by now your grandfather should have put a stop to this! |

You could buy her a ultra sonic parking sensor. works for the front and back of the car.

They are kind of expensive so you may want to shop around. |

They have rear parking sensors that you can add to her car so she can back in and a beeping noise will let her know when she is close. The easiest thing to do would tell her not to park in the garage anymore... |
