I know there are good scissors, does someone is aware of where to get this stuff? I heard about this stuff on TV.

The only safety scissors I know of which are actually good scissors are the Safe-T-Guard scissors by Whiteley which are sold in most countries by Martor.

The definition of "good" depends on what you want to do with the scissors. The Whiteley/Martor ones are industrial safety scissors designed to reduce workplace accidents. They are drop forged high-carbon steel - they are not stainless steel, they need to be wiped occasionally with a cloth lightly damp with mineral oil or sewing machine oil.
If you were looking for children's scissors, they may be better than you need. But if you are cutting cloth, or you need scissors that will stand up to hard use, then these would be much better. |
