Who are the worst drivers?

Statisticaly, men between the ages of 16 to 22. That's why the insurance rates for this demographic are so high.

No one except racists keep any records of the driving habits of any particular ethnic group. Driving safety depends on training and experience, and NOT on racial characteristics.

i think in general driving women are worse drivers but men do crazier more stupid stuff some times.

men are generally worst drivers than women and i am not saying that because im a female either.
guys like to say girls are too buisy with their hair or make up to pay attention to the road but thats only true in some cases. guys are generally only worse because their known to take more risks

In my experience as a LEO I find that very young drivers are often the most reckless. Speed wise I pull over a lot of females, often the soccer moms in mini vans, they are some of the worst. Elderly drivers I often pull over thinking I might be getting a DUI, also they are very unpredictable.

Men and women have about the same proportion of accidents, but men tend to have bigger accidents at high speeds while women tend to have low speed parking bumps. Ethnicity has no bearing at all.

The drivers I fear the most are the ones not paying enough attention. It might be a woman fixing her hair and make-up (I've seen that more than once) or a guy holding a conversation on his phone. It doesn't matter. Anyone whose attention is split between driving and something else going on inside the car is more risky to be around.

Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death among 15- to 20-year olds.

According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, 3,490 drivers in this age group died in motor vehicle crashes in 2006 and an additional 272,000 were injured.

Drivers age 15- to 20-years old accounted for 12.9 percent of all the drivers involved in fatal crashes and 16 percent of all the drivers involved in police-reported crashes.

Twenty-five percent of teen drivers killed were intoxicated. In 2006 (latest data available) crashes involving 15 to 17 year olds cost more than $34 billion nationwide, in medical costs, property damage and other costs, according to an AAA analysis.

Among licensed drivers, young people between the ages of 15 and 20 have the highest rate of fatal crashes relative to other age groups, including the elderly. In fact, the risk of being involved in a fatal crash for teens is three times greater than for drivers age 65 to 69.
