yea now theres no women flashing their **** the truckers have to look for little boys in passing cars. the government would never pay for new roads cause all the money is going to take over the middle east.

better yet while dont we just shut down the trucks all together in the USA so u mindless cars can drive 90 mph and kill and cutoff each other. and for another fact about trucks they r only allow to drive 11 hrs in a 14 hour period and then got to sleep 10 hrs, but it all right for the mindless car drivers to go to work for 8 to 9 hrs then drive home an 1 hr pack the car up and the family and the drive 18 hrs straight to grandmas house or disneyland.

Just so you know, everything you have, and I do mean everything, is brought to you by truck. You wouldn't have a car, gas, tires, anything that you use on "your" personal highway, without trucks. You wouldn't even have a road if the trucks didn't bring the materials it takes to make them. You wouldn't have a job, a house, or anywhere to go. That equipment used to pave roads has to come from somewhere. Maybe we should get rid of cars that crack windshields, go to slow, or drive drunk, fall asleep, or just cause wrecks. Do you think by having a personal truck interstate, or a toll road for trucks that would make things better? If you charge trucks more money than they already pay, guess what? The price of everything just went up. The more it costs to ship the more you pay at the store. The less truck traffic on the highways means less taxes to fix the roads. Have you really driven that much in your life? Have you actually driven more safe miles than a truck driver? You could have been driving 50 years and most likely not driven more safe miles than a trucker. You say you respect the job "we" do, but do you really? Do you just think this truck is in my way and I am going to be late? Have you ever thought, i worked my shift and get to go home, or out for the evening, but that trucker, that is still at work, is making it possible for me to go out and enjoy myself? They are bringing my gas for my car, the food at my favorite resturaunt, the clothes im wearing to go out, or to work. They provide my work tools(computers, pens, papers, building you work in, etc. etc. etc.) You should try a truckers job, maybe then you could see what we do, and how much we provide to the needs, and neccesities everyone takes for granted. That trucker that you see out there on the road, so far from home and their loved ones, is just trying to do their job safely, and get home.

I'm sure that truck companies and drivers would think this a pretty good idea. But just think about the cost!!! Unless the government paid for the whole thing (..HA!) all costs involved would be bounced right back to you and I and all other consumers.

first off driving an 18 wheeler is a great job,99% of the time, there is nothing els i would rather do.

The big truck pay so much taxes, I know I pay more in taxes than a lot of people make a year. every year there is an IRS road tax of 599$ plus it cost about 2400$ a year just to tag the dam truck, then there is a fuel tax of 43cents per gallon. that works out to about 250$ a week for most trucks.
ok truth be told i or my truck don't pay these taxes, since i or my truck is not a money tree but we pass it on to you the end user.

If you and other relay want to shut down all the truck just do not buy any thing that is hauled on a truck, I mean nothing that was on a truck. put you money were your mouth is. Also I would bet that with a truck your Job would not last long also.

And to be fair If you to ride along let me know, I 'll see what I can work out.

One last thing be safe, that poor driver want to get home safe just as much as you do. And Remember even if you are right just do not be dead right.

I think its a hard job and I know I couldnt do it but driving next to or behind them scares me. In michigan theres a speed limit of 55 for trucks and 70 for cars but when I traveled out of state I didnt realize trucks can go the same speed as cars. And driving in canada, I dont know if it was because of the out of country license plate but they were flashing and honking at me and I was in the slow lane! Also, I've heard enough horror stories of blown out tires and huge rocks hitting the windshield.. I think i'll stay away.

Most cities do have 'truck routes' or 'load limits' on their roads... if yours dont you should see the city counsel... on freeways, its better to let them mingle, why waste the money?

I do think "they" should have their own lanes. Like the carpool
lane or Bus lane.

Truckers do their job because they love to drive and to provide a living for their families. No person, in their right mind, would just come out here and deal with stupid, uneducated, people such as your self, unless they loved their job. Some of you people that are complaining on this blog make me wanna puke. It's just more proof that we need better truck education in drivers ed classes. As turdle007 said earlier, EVERYTHING you wear, eat or use during your lifetime, traveled to where you spent your hard money and purchased it, ON A TRUCK. The driver most likely was driving legally to deliver it, and wasn't trying to piss someone off that was behind him. Because we demand so many products, and generate so much waste , and the fact that Americans like to eat every once in a while, you will always see a truck on YOUR highways. Shut up and drive, stay in your lane, don't drive drunk, stop reading the paper, stop texting, stop eating french fries, stop looking at magazines, stop putting on makeup, and stop blogging about useless shit, and pay attention to the road in front of you. My company and owner operators pay so much tax to only use 2 lanes on a 3 or 4 lane highway, that it would make your head spin.
