Only the first car in line has no blame. The others are responsible for what they hit because they were following too closely.

2nd one first was too close then the 3rd for being to close also

depending on state, if 3 cars were at a lite lets say, 2 were already stopped, the 3rd and last car slides into the sceond car, the second into the first.
In most states the first car sues the second car, the second car sues the third car.
