Why are the police such hypocrites.?

As far as I'm concerned it is abuse of authority. And I don't agree that they all do it.

1 in 7 who has been on the job less than 10 seconds hasn't done it. All the rest have. I had a neighbor when I was a kid, he was a cop and bragged the he went everywhere at at least 90 MPH. I don't doubt it a bit either. Oh BTW, he was talking about his private auto.

Unfortunately most of them feel that they are all powerful and who is going to tell them that they cannot? They will try and do anything that they want to, they are cops and have badges, they get pulled over somewhere they flip it out and get away without charges. Perks I guess.

The police are public servants who risk their lives to keep the rest of the public safe. You need to quit worrying about what they're doing wrong and thank them for the service they provide to all of us.

And no, I'm not a policeman. As a child I was taught to respect those in positions of authority.

ok here goes...you may or may not like my answer.

If you see a cop doing something illegal...you get their tag # just like you would of a normal citizen doing something illegal and you report them. This can be done anonymously. The police..unless they are on an emergency run.,.must obey the laws just like the rest of us. Do police disobey the laws or abuse the law? Yes they do...but they do that because they don't get reported. Get the tag # of the police you see doing this and then you will make a difference in this.

Also get the time...date and location of the incident..this is important as there is a constant log kept of who is where in these vehicles.

Use a pay phone to report them...tell them you wish to remain anonymous as you fear retaliation.

In most cases you will be given a report # which you should write down. this way if you see the same officer doing the same thing you can report it again and give this #. Trust me...they will have a talk with the officers doing this..as well as with the entire squad and ensure that this type of activity stops. Do not report false happenings.

Ok...this is a law enforcement officer giving you this advice...and I do not approve of the actions you have described...so do it the way I said...and you Will see results...just be honest when you do it ok.

Next time you see it happen try to document it w/cell phone or cam corder and then call the dept and ask them if that is normal.

do you think cops are perfect ??? not all cops drive that way , but a lot of them drive the same way they do in the own personal cars , and it isnt being hyprocrite it is just reality, they dont pull over people if they are driving like that, when a cop pulls someone over it is because of a clear cut violation of the traffic laws . Do you know every traffic law ?? how do you know a cop is speeding do you own a radar gun??? do you know what the legal defination of tailgating is ??? or are you just bitter because you got a ticket ??? dude wake up ///////

well it is sortave as you say i have seen it to ,but each car has a number on it and if they break the law you can report them. just take car no, time and insedent and call and report them
