There are programs to teach bus drivers to inspect their vehicles before they drive them and what things to look for that might be suspicious.
I have the greatest respect for bus drivers. That is a lot of responsibility that you get little recognition for. |

Costs. It costs a lot of money to train, and it's not a situation that often comes up, I'm sure they are given some sort of idea of what to do, but there isn't much they can do- when crazy wants to blow himself up, it's every man for himself! |

Would you like all bus drivers to be martial arts and unarmed combat experts? And if training for either of those takes too long how about we just arm all bus drivers with guns, knives and hand grenades? That would certainly make me think twice about trying to blow a bus up if I knew the driver was more heavily armed than Rambo. |

A very good question! I think it is all down to our negligent government. We should always plan ahead incase these things happen, maybe if we had done before 05 the London bombings wouldnt have occured and lots of lives could have been saved! |

Not even the military gets training on suicide bombers. They just shoot! Those people are nuts and there is nothing you can do if they strap a bomb to themselves. Just don't be near them. That is why they do it. It works and there is no way to stop them once the bomb is on a person |
