Why can't they make cars where its ok to have an accident so people wont be hurt?

Everyone is so worried about car accidents and I wonder why dont they make cars where you can actually be allowed to have a car accident? People get hurt all the time and not everyone is capable of driving but so everyone who can drive and not make a big deal if someone gets hurt in a car accident, why dont they make bumper cars where if you have an accident, it wont be damage at all? Like if you bump into someone and not watch where you are going, then it isnt harmful to the person but driving is very serious so why dont they just make it where anybody in the world can drive and not have driving be too much of a responsibility?

Why don't you study the laws of physics whereas it specifically concerns accelerating masses at high velocities. You then understand that objects bouncing off of each other at those speeds will cause all sorts of other damage than the possible damage to the vehicles.

Besides that, trying to make everything idiot-proof simply serves to create more idiots in the world.

because thats unrealistic...
the whole car would have to be rubberized
because if a small car and a truck get into an accident...
the areas where it would be hit...
are different than if two small cars or two big trucks would hit
also it doesnt prevent people inside from being thrown forward
and im sure the bumper cars are made from a heavier metal
which would make gas mileage sooooo low for a car

613 is on the right track. I would add that car manufacturers spend a fortune on research to make cars safer and all things considered, they have done a remarkable job. Perhaps the best answer is in your question. People not wanting to be responsible is the biggest problem. All the safety features in the world are only used after someone is irresponsible and causes the wreck.

Make driving less of a responsibility? Do you want to watch Sponge Bob on your way to work in your car or something like that. If every driver on the road was properly trained and was paying attention then it would be much easier. And the concept of bumper cars?? Are you serious? When you ride them at the park you go like 20 mph, so it seems "ohh we bumped into each other but we are ok" now if you do it at 60 mph on the highway, do you honestly believe you will not get hurt?

Why cant people learn to drive better and follow the rules of the road better and then this would cut down accidents 100 percent..

bumper car designs are only effective at low speeds. if cars had them it wouldnt make a difference. plus the would get horrible gas mileage.
