Why can't you turn off your fog-lights when it's not foggy ?
Find answers to your legal question.

Why can't you turn off your fog-lights when it's not foggy ?

And why don't you know what to do at roundabouts - they not tricky? And, why do you think it's acceptable to drive under the national speed limit ? If anyone can answer these questions I would be obliged - rant over. Yes I have been following a tool - was it you ?

Yeah, and while you're at it, put your mobile phone away, turn down your stereo 'cos not everyone shares your taste in music, and stop thinking it's OK to park on double yellow lines as long as you put your hazard warning lights on.
I think I was following the same tool as you mate.

Voice of Reason
... and how about using your indicators when you change lanes on the motorway, so the rest of us know what you are intending to do.

...and pull over to the nearside lane when it is empty.

I think the boy-racer type leaves their fog lights on as they think it makes them look cool or something. It does my head in to.
And when people don't indicate.
And if fines are issued for speeding, why not for going to slow like 30 in a 60.

You weren't following me - I do stuff correctly in my car - not saying I'm the perfect driver but I am courteous and try to stick to the rules!

Yeah, the fog lights thing really gets on my t*ts. I usually remember to switch mine off because there's a bloody great big warning light on the dashboard telling the driver that they're still on.

Just to make sure I don't get violated, I must answer your questions. I do turn them off, and no - it wan't me!!

Statto
And who are those tool's that think a bit of spray on the motorway is fog.
READ THE HIGHWAY CODE.
Driving under the speed limit is acceptable its a speed LIMIT. Driving over is unacceptable.

You are right about everything apart from the speed limit.

The national speed limit is the maximum speed at which you can travel. There are many reasons to sometimes drive slower, these could be poor visibility through fog or heavy rain, icy conditions, snow, tight bends in the road, carrying a heavy load, towing a trailer or wearing a flat cap.

Getting your vehicle up to a reasonable speed, making good progress, is an essential element of a driving test. Not that the speed limit is always the most appropriate, it is the maximum limit.

Many people would fail tests today, which is why I believe more frequent tests for people would help improve standards - by keeping the unfit off the roads, if necessary.

And rear fog lights on, when there is good visibility, is just plain dangerous.

Were they pulling a caravan at 23 miles an hour, on the motorway, with fog-lights on, on the mobile and checking out their haior in the mirror ?

OK it was me - I thought it might get foggy later.

It wasn't me!
I find all those very irritating too, along with the idiots that are close enough to see what I have in the boot!
I have a good answer for that one though, I just speak to my dog and watch them drop right back when she sits up! She's a German Shepherd and it never fails. (Wonder if they think she's a police dog?)

Foglights-- It is an offence to use them unless vision is severely impaired by weather conditions. The old Highway Code used to say vision under 200 yards. Anyone who uses them any other time lacks common sense or adequate eyesight. Roundabouts---Why indeed, it's not rocket science. But the police say only 2% of drivers try to do it properly, the rest have no interest or are simply thick.
Speed limit--- It does indicate the maximum safe speed permitted. We should tolerate those who wish to drive a little slower. But in some American states driving slowly enough to cause danger to others is an offence.
I like the 'Why don't you go and catch some criminals officer ' brigade. If I was a policeman I would say ' Because we are too busy wet nursing people who do not realise the potential dangers of their ignorance and lack of self discipline.
And have you noticed? Any driver holding their head as if they are looking over a wall at nose height is always hopelessly incompetent.

Worst things people do when they drive....

Drive under the speed limit (40 in 60) in acceptable conditions to do 60 - holding up 3596 cars.

Double parking in narrow streets.

Tailgating you when you are doing the correct speed.

Blinding you with brake lights at traffic lights by not pulling up your handbrake - plonkers!!!

Having a loud exhaust that keeps everyone up in the night.

Pulling out on you thinking you will stop for them.

Taking wrong lanes at roundabouts for fun - a million times more likely to cause an accident than 80 on a motorway, why do they not police that??! better still catch the buggers who steal cars/property+cause damage and **** ***** hands off.
