if a red light is ahead of you, why the hell are you driving 50miles per hour and getting mad at me for slowing down, trying to preserve my brakes? do drivers have any brains anymore?

No..it seems to me most people leave their brains and their common sense at home when they are driving...If more people would just be a little more considerate, we'd all be better off...
And people...you DO NOT OWN the road...we all have a right to be on it...please don't assume everyone should get out of your way....drive like you do, speed (I cannot afford to get speeding tickets!!!), nor do we all have ESP and just "know" that you're late, mad, or whatever...

Some drivers might not notice the light is red because of distractions. Some might have a lifetime warranty on brakes from Midas and want to get as many sets of brake pads as possible. There are many reasons. |

Its the rush of beating the red light or runing through it and possibly getting caught. |

to make it through right before, or just as the light turns red. traffic cameras don't take pictures of red light runners until the other light is green. |

It's impossible to predict what the drivers are thinking. That being said, how do they know you aren't going to drive slowly when it's green? Perhaps the person is avoiding catching the next red light by getting ahead of the slow drivers.
As long as the driver isn't presenting an unsafe situation why would you even care? Their priority is getting to their destination quicker where yours is preserving your brakes.
Slow drivers can create unsafe situations just as much as fast drivers, the best thing to do is go with the flow of traffic.
And for the love of god, don't drive in the far left lane at 40 mph when the speed limit is 70 mph |

has it ever occured to you that they are trying to beat the red light. AND perhaps, you are breaking waaaay too early and driving too slow??
