Image is everything, way to go hummer drivers, thanks for being selfish and undeniably stupid. I can not even afford my gas for 30 MPG, Families do not eat because they have to spend it on gas (the american dream)...

okay, i asume you are talking about the H2 and H3, which i agree, are pointless.

as far as real hummers like were designed for military purpaces, they are diesel, and can be converted to run off of old grease from mcdonalds for $1500, at the same time giving off less emisions then a brand new hybrid sedan, and are insanely heavy duty, and capable off road

it just stands out & that's what we're about...trying to find something different. it's just like people buying the old ganster cars, or lovebug cars, or herse cars. When they start marketing old ambulances & firetrucks....it's a wrap!!!!

I'd much rather have the new 2008 Silverado before I would take a Hummer. Silverado looks A TON better and gets decently better mileage.

Well if I'm honest I'd love one!!
Not to drive every day as they are expensive to run and enviromentally bad, but I think they look really cool.
Those that have said it's down to marketing, that is not the case as I have never seen any advertising for a hummer, but I just think it's something a bit different that makes people look twice, without being pretentious or chavvy.

i personally like the first gen hummers the h1 after the h2 and h3 came out now i don't like them as much. People buy them because there big and roomy for a family even though they get bad gas mileage if you got the money for the hummer you got the money for the gas.

Hummers can be a good buy depending on which one you buy. My best friend recently purchased one and I got her a great deal. It wound up being the cheapest SUV with the best options in town.

I'm sorry, but you sound a little envious. I don't think there's anything wrong with it, it's ones preference, just like buying a Mercedes or BMW. Let's be honest, if you have an extra $100 thousand laying around, would you buy a Buick or a Hummer?
