Why do people pull out of side junctions seconds in front of you and then start driving well below the limit?

wow I know what you mean. im a truck driver and deal with this at least 10 times a day. I wish I could just jump out and strangle them. these people act as if you should get out their way. very not safe. im afraid one day I will not be able to stop and end up crushing them in their little car. my guess is these people are just that ignorant. they need to teach people the right way to drive before they give them a licence. not just stop at this stop sign pull in the parking lot and here ya go. I wish I could change the whole driver licence exam. both road and writen. it would take at least 30% of cars off the road,save from pointless accidents, and make for less polution.

probably the same reason the guy in front stops to let somebody out form a side road when just he and you are the only two cars moving on the road and if he just drove past ( followed by you) the car would have been able to come out safely and not stop or annoy anybody else at all.
mostly its simply those of a lower intellectual driving capability. often referred to as thick heads among other comments. sadly they seem to outnumber those whom do have good driving skills.

They're called light catchers and thats what they enjoy most. Those are the same people that drive 28 in a 35 zone and soon as a light turns yellow, they slam the gas pedal (at the last possible second to make sure you dont make it) into the floor and fly across the interesection at 50mph and they have to ride the brake for a solid 10 seconds to get back down to 28. I've found a slight way to piss of light catchers, they WANT you to ride their ***. Sometimes i go 10 mph slower than them and watch how far away they pull ahead. They steady watch the rear view in amazement on how they leaving you in the dust. It just confuses, pisses them off and amazes all at the same time. Try it once, its hilarious.

I would hate that. They are inconsiderate drivers who don't give a **** about other drivers on the road. They want to be first in traffic and don't care about the drivers behind them that have to slow down a lot when they pull out in front of you. I would beep the horn if they pull out in such a short distance causing you to brake hard.

Some drivers don't use strategy. Since they'd rather pull out in a hurry, and end up behind some car/truck that's bigger than their vehicle so they can't see up ahead, I say they deserve it-and I'm not annoyed.

This is the funnest thing, some one did this to me today. I sped up to close the gap but he pulled out in front of me and gunned it. i almost hit them and i kinda a hope that I would of, They were driving a Lamborghini. People have this oh me first attitude and it gets old quick.

Yep, they drive me mad too. The worst ones are the ones who get to an intersection and can see you coming 150-200 yards away, wait and then decide to pull out just in time to make you slam on your brakes. And there's nobody behind you for as far as the eye can see. They are too lazy to wait.

Poor observation skills and that includes the ability to judge speed of approaching vehicles. One of the things that is not covered by speed camera's and a cause of fatal accidents.

have you ever heard of defensive driving? well i know this act is enough to piss off anyone. but believe or not its legal . and you would be at fault if you hit his car and your directly behind him .so don't be so bent on maintaining that 60 mph. as you see the car sitting at the intersection let off the gas. an start to slow. and as he pulls out your already slowing down . and have a better chance to come to a stop if need be. other wise get some big air horns and as you come up behind him let him have it with a blast. I am bothered by the truck drivers response. he should know that his rig is far more harder to stop than a car and should have the sense to do as i have told you.
