When you turn 25 you don't become a better driver overnight. Statistically you are less likely to crash. That is why insurance rates drop significantly once you turn 25. but keep in mind, its only STATISTICALLY. Usually people who are over 25 have already been driving for years, that is why they are less likely to get in a crash. But if you just started, doesn't matter if you are 25 or 45, your chances of getting into an accident are higher because you are inexperienced. |

they have less experience at driving and haven't done it that long or just not paying attention!
if I started at 25 yes i would be likely to crash since it would of been the first time!
But I started at 16. I have only had a car accident once! Been rear ended twice!
I am 25 almost 26! |

No, you'd be just as inexperienced as a 16 year old if you just started. |

It's not just 'people' under 25 that are at higher risk, it's specifically 'boys' under 25 who are at higher risk.
This is because of the deadly combination of inexperience at driving coupled with gallons of testosterone pumping around their blood which makes them think they are invulnerable and causes them to take unnecessary risks. In others words, it's 'attitude' that causes the problem.
Statistics prove it and this is why young men have to pay such huge insurance premiums. |

Young people tend to take risks. That's it. |

Because they have little driving experience.
Or, they think themselves 'hard' and drive too fast in their badly modified Corsas, and take unnecessary risks i.e. overtaking a truck going round a bend |

the statisic is we are more likely to be taking risks
but i dont beleive it ive been driving since i was 17 in ireland and passed my test 1st time round in the hardest place u where meant to pass it in ireland.i dont beleive it cus in the 2 crashes i was in it invovled1 with some1 pulling out in front of causing me to swerve hitch a ditch and tree and she was well over 25 she was like 56 and the 2nd 1 caused by a 30 year old man rnning into the back of me while i stopped at a pedisteran crossing so i thinks it depends on the driver not the age and im sick of high insurance jus cause im young when most of the drivers that cause accidents are over25 |

Experience.
Look at a 50 year old Mexican immigrant, they'll crash just as much and drive just as recklessly.
Look at the social experiment that is China, where cars are a new thing. Everyone drives terribly. Drive off the highway down the ONramp. Turn at an intersection irregardless what the light says. Park anywhere they choose.
You gradually learn what to do and what not to do, and hopefully you haven't died or killed anyone by the time you've mastered driving. |
