In case of fire do not use elevator as an exit, as the elevators disable with mass heat and are usually on an automatic shut down system for fires. Use the stairs! |

escort the fire into the elvator and hit bottom floor
now the fire has been "put out"
just make sure security walks it to the door. |

how would you fit an elevator into the case? |

The signs exist primarily as a result of people in elevators being taken to floors in conflagration where all those in the elevator died from the intense heat. |

Maybe the elevator is broken and you wanna destroy it. But it could be dangerous to use it, so Do not use it in case of fire! |

funny, that sign is posted for brunetts, blondes are allowed to use them! |
|

matthew r
 |
haha thats funny but if you really are asking then the reason is that the electricity could go out in fire and you would be stuck in the elevator. |

You throw the elevator at the fire, and hope that it douses the flames |

Are you really that blonde? |

Wait...Is this a trick question? I thought I was dumb! The signs say not to use the elevator because the fire could cause the electric to go out and you could be stuck inside the elevator and die.
Thanks for the two points! |
|

HO HO HO HIC
 |
the sign dosnt mean use the elevator to put out the fire it means if there is a fire in the building dont ride the elevator because if the power goes off you will be stuck in the elevator and will burn with the building |

True!
Here's another one:
"For your safety, the elevator is located in the rear of the store."
Yes, we're much safer with the elevator there. |

Groaaaannnn .. don't give up your day job.
And, those signs that say "In case of fire, break glass" should include ... "unless the glass is full of alchohol as it will only fuel the flames" |

Depends on the size and location of the fire and if the "elevator" (we call them lifts) is full of water or not! |

Hahahahahaha! Funny joke!
Good idea for a blonde joke! hahahaha!
It says you shouldn't use the elevator during a fire. Sometimes a fire can burn the cables and cause the elevator to fall. Or it can cause a malfunction to the motor. |

YOU MUST BE HAVING A BLONDE MOMENT! HUH |

In the case that there is a fire, do not use the elevator. It does not say, in case of fire, put out fire with elevator. |
|

Tiff
|
Wow...How dense can you be?
Those signs are only suggesting that if there were to be a fire in the building to not use the elevator inorder to escape. Your safe bet is to only use the stairs. That is why they have that sign in or next to the elevator.
*Sheesh |
