Nope...but it can slip right out of the lane and into oncoming traffic...or off the road into a tree...or right into the back of the car in front of you.

well duh!!!! Those signs arent put up till someone slides off the road and gets killed so when they say they 'slippery' i wouldnt ignore them.

Yes ofcourse. All vehicles handle difficult on wet roads. There is an uncontrollable drag and risk of skidding.Even aeroplanes skid on wet runways, only, they dont have the WET RUNWAY sign.

A car's tires can easily lose traction on a slippery road (from rain, ice, etc), causing the driver to lose control and possibly get into an accident. It's a good idea to slow down when you're driving in rainy or snowy weather.

amish_renegade
I take it you are not an experienced driver. It is very possible for a car to slip on wet pavement and ice. Tires under these conditions don't always grip the road as they should and in this event it is possible to lose all handling and braking power. If there is a curve ahead and a slide begins before or during, inertia will take over and you'll go straight instead of turning. This will then lead you into a guard-rail or off the road and into what lies beyond.

cars dont fall down but skid moreover reduced friction between tyres and road results in poor or reduced braking

thats because, on a slippery road the friction b/w the car tyres and the road is very less. therefore, the car can skid on the road.

It.can.skid.and.tumble.over

if you goto fast on a wet road your gonna skid out of control....
