When are car drivers going to learn that playing "Get Around The Truck" is a game which, if you win you get a second or two, but if you lose, you DIE! Do you REALLY think your time is that valuable?

my favorite move is how the cars see the trucks coming up in the passing lane and then speed up so the truck can't pass. REALLY brilliant move there! or when trucks are going really slow (like in construction zones) and the cars go on the shoulder to pass. idiots. |

Its all the mentality of I don't want to be stuck behind a big truck.
Personally I love it when they see me in the left lane and they speed up. i got a truck that will top out at 110. I usually catch them anyhow. |

99% of drivers have no understanding of the laws of physics, so they think you can stop as quickly as they can.

I am always amazed to see two 18-wheelers barreling down the highway at 70mph, one behind the other, with maybe one or two car lengths separating them.
Idiocy is not the sole province of those who drive passenger cars. |

And what is it with people that hog your side on a two lane road?! I drive a Dodge Ram 3500 Dually and have been cut close a few times. It's almost like they have no idea of fractions or something, divide a given space by two, they take 99% and leave us with all the rest. I can only imagine how difficult and frusterating it is driving the big ole' 18 wheelers. I frequently tow heavy things with my truck and it just ticks me off when someone tailgates me or decides to cut in front of me in traffic... If only they knew what it was like |

If I can safely pass a truck, I will; but, why do "you" truck drivers think you own the road just because you're bigger?
