Even though you may drive by the rules there are a lot of people that have a huge array of complications while driving. Things like; drowsiness, impatience, road rage tendancies, medical mishaps, inexpirence, age related problems, vision blockers etc. There are so many weather related factors also. So, even though you could be the safest, most cautionary driver on the road, there are so many people that are just too over confident or don't know they are about to go into a siezure, that accidents will always happen. Fact of life.

you follow the rules, but not that one who hit you.

Because accidents are accidents; sometimes no matter how safely we do things, something goes wrong...because many factors are intertwined with each other as Murphy's Law states: "Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong" (or, alternately, "Anything that can go wrong, will").

Natural causes. My friend just got into a major car accident when she was driving in bad weather. one car hit a tree after hydroplaning off the road due to water on it. A guy was pulled over to help him out, and she came down the road hit the same water spot, and Hydroplaned into the guy who was pulled overs truck. Then you also have Animals, people who swerve to miss things in the road, and people who aren't paying attention (changing Cd's, Putting on Makeup ...etc)

so much has been answered for natural causes , carelessness etc. Even if we are following the rules, the other person also must follow rules. this will help in reducing accidents to a certain extent

If you are believer of God, this is called FATE.
If you are a non-believer, then it is called NEGLIGENCE

lots of factors, i think. one of these is your co-drivers who are reckless. even though you drive by the rules and take extreme precautions, you can never guess what other drivers are thinking, probably to get home or work or anywhere else the fastest way.

another is because of our highways, i think some are really dangerous when it comes to the road we're in. another one is natural causes, people crossing the street, malfunctioning traffic lights and many more.
