I got hit because someone didn't care to look. Tell me why people are too lazy to just look! I'm glad I'm not hurt, but still, it takes 3 seconds.

VERY GOOD POINT! But rather than asking WHY, we need to always REMIND OURSELVES, over and over again, to AVOID the dreaded blind zone! Luckily for me, when i was taught by my dad to drive, i remember him repeatedly telling me to GET OUT OF THE DAMN BLIND SPOT! therefore, IF you happen to end up there, you MUST either speed forward quickly to where you can see the other drivers face side to side OR brake and maintain your vehicle BEHIND where there's enough room for another vehicle to cut in front of you! BUT DON"T MAINTAIN IN BETWEEN! remember, either SPEED UP or BRAKE BACK! |

their to busy doing something else. Cell phone, radio station, lighting up. Most of the time they just think well if i get in an accident it wont be my fault and i wont have to pay anything they will. and the sad truth of it is they are right, it would be your fault if you hit them when they were trying to get over in front of you. |

They either was not properly trained, or they forgot. Just looking out your mirrors doesn't show everything. You should look over your shoulder also. |

hi being a retired trainer for a school bus company, i can tell you that most drivers all over the country don't even know what a blind spot is let alone use the proper mirrors to allow you to see the blind spot. here in my state we call it the rhode island slide, its dont look and pray the other person is paying attention. i hope i answered your question, thanks |

You are right, it does. I am guilty of "forgetting" to check my blind spots, I think I just forget, because I always check my mirrors. Thanks for sharing, though, I will think about you and give a conscious effort to look now. |
