Why don't you use your turn signals every time you turn or change lanes?

I always signal, sometimes almost to a fault. Pulling into a paralell parking space, for example, I have the signal on so people know what I am doing. That's the whole point of signaling! You are letting everyone else know what your intent is. My driveway to my house is off of a one lane alley. My wife even occasionally comments about why I signal even as I pull into my drive from this alley that only one car can go down at a time. My answer is simple. It's just habit. It's one that I wish everyone else would get into.

The problem is, just like others are stating, that most people could care less about communicating their intentions. They just do it and expect everyone else to cope. No wonder traffic gets so snarled all the time.

I am a transport driver and I always signal . I had an accident with a car on my right in the blind spot I turned on the signals { as you know trucks have a lot of lights down their sides } The woman behind the one in the blind spot saw them and because of that I didn't get charged. She had lots of room to manoeuvre out of the way.

I always use my turn signals because I get annoyed at other drivers that don't use theirs.

I do it.............99% of the time.

I'll try to singal even if I don't see any other cars.

I always use them even if there is nobody on the road.

1) People are lazy - Consider the proliferation of automatic transmissions despite all of their disadvantages. Some cars have cruise control, automatic headlights and rain-sensing windshield wipers. God forbid that you ever have to touch any vehicle controls and actually do something manually!

2) People are arrogant - They are entitled to change lanes whenever they darn well please and it is YOUR responsibility to avoid them. After all, the whole world revolves around them.

3) People are stupid - using a turn signal requires them to either hang up their cell phone, stop applying make-up, or cease whatever other distraction they are engaged in.

Most times I do...sometimes I don't. Bet you don't use them every time either. Bet all those people that said they always do don't either....*wink*
