i am a professional driver of buses but had to give it up because of the worsening behaviour and attitudes of drivers these days is it because of the food we eat ?the intensity of our lives ?i dont think so , i believe the driving test has become so advanced that new drivers are rebelling and as soon as they get their full liscence they drive badly on purpose i would love to know if anyone else has similar views on this subject , it is a subject i care about and im not looking for a fight just want to know what is going on , and why drivers are so self absorbed when in their vehicles , merily chatting on their mobiles changing the cd checking their make-up a million other thing s and why are kids so badly behaved in cars these days when i was a boy you behaved so that the parent or adult driving could concentrate but now there is no respect for anyone or anything , people have become very destructive thank you for your time i hope we can sort these things out some day soon

I think the age for driving should be higher straight away to stop the young idiots endangering life's when they pass their test. Also when a car goes to have it's M.O.T if the car has been modified in any way the M.O.T station has to report it to the D.V.L.A to make sure they have been previously informed to stop the young kids from thinking they have a sports car because they have put a 4" backbox on a 1.1 Corsa/Saxo. |

Most people who are bad drivers are too busy changing the channel or talking on the cell or to others in there car. also people don't give them selves enough time to get where they are going so they feel they need to speed and do what ever they have to to get where there going on time and others just really don't care how they drive, they feel they don't have to worry if they just about got ran over by an 18 wheeler fully loaded to its capacity in weight |

There is too much distraction now in modern cars - mobile phone holders and chargers, sat nav, radio/CD/MP3, etc. Attention is being taken away from the road. Also there are too many bad young drivers now so the age limit should be raised by a couple of years. |

They are in their sealed compartment, they have (I hope)
paid their road tax, therefore they can do as they please.
Anyway accidents happen to other people. |

Part of the problem is that modern cars are just too damn comfy and easy to drive. Even an inexpensive family runaround can effortlessly break the speed limit & are almost silent cruising at high speeds, and if you can afford something like a BMW, you'll scarcely know you're moving at 130mph! In a car which has something very similar to a PC with a mouse as its main control centre. 'I-Drive'?.. I-Crash, more like!!
I love cars & driving fast, where conditions & judgement allow, but I think we have it a bit too easy in modern cars, even without all the distracting technology they seem to pack.
Try driving an older car, even a Cortina or something from the 70s, at 70-80mph & you'll be amazed at the concentration required. |

Everywhere is the same. Here in UK (i presume you are in USA) the most of the roads are for 1 car only. Arrogance is to not give any one turn for a very long time. Especially for a bus. No one wants to drive behind the bus! All in the rush to get from A to B without thinking that they are not alone and somebody on the way getting from B to C is definitely on the way. I think it is related to the manners too. Nowadays good manners are not a treasure... so is a proper driving. People! Be a bit more polite! |

Because once they've paid their road tax, they think the road belong to them.
I am a trucky and you wont believe what those idiots of motorist can be up to. They dont realise, that from high up we can see inside their silly little cars. I once saw a woman overtaking me on the motorway, while changing a baby who was on the rear seat, with one hand and had her mobile in the other.
So dont ask ! |

The roads are full of idiots, which I struggle to understand why they do some stupid moves. I ride a bike and it is really scary to watch. Sometimes I prefer to be driving the bus. LOL |

take 1 of these idiots that can barely drive and stick em on the back of a bike....and see for themselves how their driving is a lethal hazard. especially when 1 of those idiotic cell phone baby changers commits the deadly left turn manuver in front of the bike they're riding on the back on. i'd give it 2-1 odds they might wake up when they experience first hand what it's like to litterally dodge death. |
