Why dont they move deer crossing signs into better places, like stop lights at intersections?

I know it may be a little bit farther for the deer to walk, but at least they would be safer crossing the road at a protected intersection. Why in the world would they put the deer crossing signs out in the middle of the woods by a winding road? This is forcing the deer to take chances that they dont need to.

It is a conspiracy and the expense of millions of deer... see no one knows exactly how a game warden spends their day so these signs were placed at awkward locations by the wardens in hopes that they could lure the deer to cross in unsafe locations while they wait to ticket those who would take the road kill home... thus providing them with "public awareness" at the expense of those poor little deer. Any smart deer will avoid crossing at these signs! |

Not really, I believe the animal is color blind, so they would be crossing against the light. Plus, with the hoof, it is very hard for them to push the walk button. |
