According to Response Insurance, a national car insurer, 42% of those drivers say they don’t have enough time, 23% admit they are just plain “lazy,” 17% don’t signal because when they do, they forget to turn it off, 12% admit they are changing lanes too frequently to bother, 11% say it is not important, 8% say they don’t signal because other drivers don’t, and perhaps most disturbing 7% say forgoing the signal “adds excitement to driving.”
The Company identified several driver-types when it comes to ignoring turn signals – Impulsive, Lazy, Forgetful, Swervers, Ostriches, Followers, and the Dare Devils.

This boggles my mind also. It's not like its a hard or strenuous thing to flip a turn signal on or off. If you are too careless and lazy to use turn signals, you are too careless and lazy to be driving at all. I wish they would give out more citations for this, but the cops don't seem to care very much where I live here in Pennsylvania. |

Umm...they usually forget or don't feel the need to. I notice that especially in residential areas. I notice in neighborhoods they barely use their signals (my mom does this a lot) same with parking lots too or roads in some type of place like a college campus or a business park for example. |

Because many drivers are inconsiderate, and don't acknowledge how their actions may affect others. |

because whoever they learned from didn't do it either more than likely. They get the horn and a butt chewing from me if they fail to use a signal and it almost causes and accident. |
