I don't understand how the law was written on this because it is hypocritical and nonsensical. You can paint the back window of a pick-up truck. You can have dark tint on SUV's and mini-vans but not on a station wagon. There was even a factory produced dark tinted car that was allowed, some kinda Dodge (it's name eludes me at the moment). If the police want to be able to see into vehicles for safety purposes (which I understand), then EVERY VEHICLE should be in compliance!

Cause the cops can't see if passengers are getting out a gun to shoot them with....or are hiding illegal stuff....or if someone is tied up in the backseat... |

Most jurisdictions allow dark tinting on all windows except the windshield and the front side windows. The main reason is not so the cops can see in, but so the driver can see out. If you've ever driven a car with a dark tint on the front windows at night, you'll know what I'm talking about. |

Because most people who do it, do so for Criminal Purposes, they obviously dont want people to see what they are doing, or who they are looking at.
Then you got some people who do it, TO BE COOL.....
Some cars look good tinted, but most look like Crap.....
Get ready for the thousands of dollars in tickets and fines..... |
